Founded in 1986 with a mission to provide no-cost health care services to the uninsured, indigent, and working poor of Northwest Arkansas. The clinic, originally housed in the old Armory Building on North College, has moved to a state of the art, LEED certified building off of Woolsey behind UAMS and next to the VA Hospital. With a small staff of 13 and over 50 volunteer physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, technicians, and lay volunteers, the clinic serves patients no matter their insurance status or ability to pay as long as they meet financial requirements. With the Affordable Care Act it is understand that just because individuals have insurance doesn’t mean they can afford co-pays or meet deductibles, so all are welcome. Offering medical services and full dental (including exams, cleanings, fillings, x-rays, extractions, etc.), Welcome Health is happy to serve the underprivileged citizens of NWA.
